- pitch presentation - which brief are you doing / why / personal strengths and potential weaknesses/needs
- intertextuality and how texts link together - a comparison of different media artefacts that link to one main product
- about genre: an in depth presentation analysing the conventions of your chosen main genre
- job roles in the industry - who does what, what are the key skills, what do you need to do and learn
- (NEXT) - what are the key codes and conventions of your ancillary products (to get the highest marks consider all three then explain which are your chosen 2)
- (NEXT) - in depth textual analysis of three different outstanding and inspiring examples for each of your intended productions eg: 3 x short film, 2 x poster, 3 x magazine review
- (THEN) - we begin looking at FORM & STRUCTURE: CODES AND CONVENTIONS: titles / timings / camera / lighting / layout etc
- (THEN) Narrative codes and structures: Barthes / Propp /Todorov / Cameron / Post-modernisn etc
- (THEN) - Audience Theory - concepts / conventions/ audience structuring and pleasures
- (then) storyboarding / layout and planning
